Victor Levin, M.D.

As a world renowned expert in brain tumor research and treatment, Dr. Levin is currently a practicing physician at the Kaiser Permanente Redwood City Hospital Department of Neurosurgery. He is a Professor Emeritus and former Chair of the Department of Neuro-Oncology for The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Levin has previously held positions as Staff Associate in the Laboratory of Chemical Pharmacology of the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI), where he was involved in some of the original research related to VAL-083 and as a Professor in the Departments of Neurological Surgery, Neurology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Pharmacology at the University of California San Francisco. He is also the founder and first president (1995-97) of Society for Neuro-Oncology. Dr. Levin holds B.S. and M.D. degrees from the University of Wisconsin and Neurology Residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

James Perry, M.D., FRCPC

Dr. Perry is the Chair of the Canadian Brain Tumour Consortium, a Canadian national not-for-profit investigator network where he currently leads or co-leads several international collaborative clinical trials. He is an Associate Scientist, Clinical Integrative Biology in the Odette Cancer Research Program at Sunnybrook Research Institute and an Associate Professor, Department of Medicine - Division of Neurology at the University of Toronto, where his research focuses on brain tumor treatment and patient care. Dr. Perry received his medical degree from the University of Toronto and is a Neurology Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC).
